Most Disliked
Some diners have mentioned that the cooking time can be longer than expected during peak hours. Busy periods, particularly weekends, may lead to longer waits for food.
Not every dish hits the mark. A few customers have noted inconsistencies with the chips, reporting instances of being overcooked. This is subjective but worth noting for discerning eaters.
Limited options for those seeking specialty cuisines. While excellent at fish and chips, the menu may not cater to everyone in a group looking for variety.”]}},{

I’m not usually a massive fan of fish and chips but decided to give this place a try based on reviews from Google and TripAdvisor. I have to say, it was very good. We had the fish special which was a medium sized battered cod, chips and curry sauce, priced at £11.50 (dining in). The fish was fresh and the batter crispy, very well cooked. The chips were slightly over-cooked (not a big issue, personal preference) and the curry sauce was thick and had taste and flavour unlike some places. The dining in experience all gives you excellent views of the beach and the service from the waitress was excellent. All in all, very pleased. Would recommend.
Fabulous fish and chips to take away or sit inside which we did. The medium cod special was large and delicious. Fresh white cod in a light crispy batter and lovely big chips. Lots of curry sauce and mushy peas too and a nice hot cup of tea
Brilliant restaurant does eat in or take away. Very traditional fish and chips nicely cooked. Very clean, tidy seating with a great view of the beach. Very friendly welcoming staff. Reasonable prices for the great food. Well stocked menu from pies sausages and nuggets and a kids menu. Well worth a visit tasty fish.
We came in on Friday evening just expecting a takeaway chippy but the view was sensational watchign the sunset, the dine-in area was very clean and the staff were absolutely lovely and ensured we had everything we needed. The portion sizes were immense, I had scampi, chips and salad, my partner had the pinwheel burger and we split a bowl of calamari. This was incredibly fresh fish, served up hot and crispy, we struggled to finish it all and the staff were so polite as we left. I cannot recommend here enough, the staff are caring, the food is brilliant and the view is one like no other!
I called in at The Cod End to sample their fish and chips, and I was not disappointed. I had the Cod, Chips and Peas special with a lovely glass of wine. The batter on the Cod was crispy, the fish just flaked apart, the chips were lovely and the peas were lush. Great service and a beautiful view. Highly recommended.
Food did take a few minutes but was mostly worth the wait and price. Fried Chicken burger was a lil dry and could have been better then the Tesco Southern Fried Chicken pieces they used. But the chips were great and so was the other meals we ordered . Burgers are large Chips are a good portion size Kebab meat was fresh and tasty .
The view is fantastic, and the establishment has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly service. The cleanliness and tidiness of the place are commendable. Additionally, it's great to see that it's dog-friendly, allowing pets inside as well. These factors contribute to a pleasant experience overall.
